概述

Juilliard welcomes dancers ages 10-18 to the 朱丽亚音乐舞蹈 经验! These one-day workshops will give intermediate and advanced dancers the chance to experience Juilliard’s dance program and take technique classes with the 跳舞 Division’s faculty, 校友, 和学生. Participants will join more than 150 dancers for a celebratory day of dance.

朱丽亚音乐舞蹈 looks forward to welcoming the next generation of dancers to campus. No audition is required 和学生 of all backgrounds are invited to participate.

In a positive and supportive environment, dancers will be grouped by age and will get an insider’s perspective of what 朱丽亚音乐舞蹈 training is like. The day will include technique classes in ballet, 当代, 即兴创作, and hip-hop as well as a live performance and discussion with 朱丽亚音乐舞蹈 students.

一整天, dancers will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with current 朱丽亚音乐舞蹈 students to learn more about pursuing dance in higher education and about the life of a Juilliard dancer.

Parents will also be offered the opportunity to learn more about 朱丽亚音乐舞蹈 at an information session with our associate director of admissions for dance and drama, 拉里·戈德斯.


Sample Schedule (subject to change)

  • 9am – Check-in and Warm-Up
  • 上午9:30 -芭蕾舞
  • 10:50am -休息
  • 11am – Contemporary/Improvisation
  • 12:20pm – Lunch With Juilliard Students
  • 下午1:30 -嘻哈
  • 2pm – 朱丽亚音乐舞蹈 信息rmation Session (for parents only*)
  • 下午2:30 -表演 & 讨论
  • 下午3:30 -出发**

*Please note: other than the information session, parents are kindly asked to only be on campus for drop-off and pickup. Class observations or lunch with your child are not available. Students must remain on campus for the entire day.

**Students ages 10-13 will depart 30 minutes earlier, at 3pm.

We welcome students who are:

  • intermediate and advanced level dancers. Some experience in ballet and 当代 is suggested but not required.
  • ages 10-18 and not yet graduated from high school
  • available to participate in the entire day

No audition is required.

*Please note: Juilliard requires all participants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their arrival on the Juilliard campus. 跳舞rs will also be required to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms prior to attending the program. 政策 are subject to change.
